[02b//The short version]

What is an SEO audit, and what do in-depth website audit services actually deliver?

An SEO audit is a structured examination of a website against the things search engines measure — crawlability, indexation, content quality, links, speed and, now, whether AI answer engines can read and cite it. Arab SEO is an SEO audit agency in Dubai that runs a 250-point version of this: it crawls the site the way Google renders it, scores every checkpoint against the client's own keyword and GA4 revenue data, and delivers a ranked fix backlog in five working days rather than an unsorted list of errors.

The distinction that matters when comparing website audit services in the UAE is between finding and pricing. Any crawler can produce four hundred warnings; the work worth paying for is deciding which twelve of them cost money this quarter and in what order a developer should close them. That judgement is why an audit has a consultant attached and a scanner does not.

A technical SEO audit in Dubai also has local specifics a generic template misses: bilingual Arabic and English hreflang returns, google.ae SERP features that differ from google.com, and Core Web Vitals measured on the mid-range Android phones and 4G networks customers here actually use. Where the audit turns into work, it feeds local SEO and the wider AI SEO programme.

That last part is the practical argument for using a website audit agency in Dubai rather than a remote one. Field Core Web Vitals, google.ae SERP samples and Google Business Profile checks all return different answers from a different country, and an auditor who cannot run them here has to take the global average on trust.

[01//Triage]

You don’t have an SEO problem. You have forty of them — and three matter this quarter.

Every scanner on the internet will happily list 200 “errors” on your domain. We know because we run those scanners too — then we do the part they can’t: we price each finding against your keywords, your rankings and your GA4 revenue, and cut the list down to the handful of fixes that actually move AED this quarter. A fix backlog with no ranking is just a PDF. Yours arrives with a queue order.

Unprioritised audit reports die in inboxes for a reason: they ask your developer for forty days of work and promise nothing in return. We flip that. The top of your backlog is deliberately small — the three fixes a Dubai e-commerce or services site can ship in a sprint that typically carry the majority of the modeled upside.

  • CRITICALIndexation and crawl traps that hide money pages from Google
  • HIGHKeyword cannibalization where three of your URLs fight one query
  • HIGHToxic or dead-weight links dragging authority off your domain

The rest of the 40 — documented, costed, queued. Nothing gets lost; everything gets ordered.

[02//The framework]

The technical SEO audit: one crawl, 250 checkpoints, six fronts.

The framework has been rebuilt 14 times since 2016 — after every core update, after the page experience rollout, after AI Overviews. It is a living checklist maintained by our 40+ strong team, and it ends the “depends on the auditor’s mood” problem most audit buyers never realise they have.

The issues your crawlers find — priced, not just listed.

Below is a real excerpt, anonymised, from a JLT logistics site we audited last quarter. The scanner called all of this “515 warnings”. We called five rows what they were: the difference between the site it was and the revenue it could bill.

Exhibit 01 — sample findingsJLT logistics site · anonymized · Q3 crawl

Every row ships with the fix, the effort estimate, and an owner — dev, content, or off-page.

[04//Content & cannibalization]

Three of your URLs are fighting one Google query.

Cannibalization is the most common expensive thing we find on Dubai sites, and scanners can’t see it because it needs intent judgement, not regex. Example, anonymised from an audit for a Business Bay consultancy targeting “best seo agency dubai”:

/services/seopos #14 · 2,100 impr/mo

FIX → CONSOLIDATEFold into the /seo-dubai hub and 301 the remnant — one strong page beats three tired ones.

01
/blog/seo-agency-dubai-tipspos #31 · 860 impr/mo

FIX → RE-INTENTKeep it informational, cut the pricing block, and pass authority up with an internal link.

02
/ar/خدمات-تحسين-محركات-البحثpos #22 · 1,430 impr/mo

FIX → KEEP + HREFLANGGenuine Arabic asset. Pair it with the English hub via bidirectional hreflang and let both climb.

Your full cannibalization map covers every money keyword you own — usually 30 to 120 competing clusters, each with a verdict. Ask us to check three keywords for free before you even commission the audit.

Speed measured on Dubai networks, not lab fibre.

We test on mid-range Android over 4G — how your customers in Al Quoz, Deira and JLT actually reach you — then write the fix at template level so it holds after the next theme update.

Field data from the CrUX report sits next to our lab runs, because Google ranks the real world, not the lab. If your traffic is too thin for field data, we say so and measure a close template instead of pretending. Each metric ships with its fix scoped in developer days, so you can hand the row to your team — or to ours — without a discovery phase.

[06b//AI visibility audit]

The AI SEO audit — because passing Google is no longer the whole exam.

A site can clear every classic technical check and still never be cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's AI Overviews. The two sets of criteria only partly overlap, and the gap between them is where most Dubai sites currently sit. These four checks are the ones that decide it, and they run on every audit from the Business tier up.

CRITICAL

Can the answer engines fetch you at all?

GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and OAI-SearchBot are separate user agents from Googlebot, and a robots.txt written in 2021 blocks several of them by default. We check each one against your live file — the single most common reason a well-optimised Dubai site is absent from AI answers.

HIGH

Is the answer in the HTML, or assembled by JavaScript?

Googlebot renders JavaScript. Most answer-engine crawlers do not, or do it inconsistently. We diff your rendered DOM against your raw server HTML and flag every passage that exists only after hydration — the tabs, accordions and carousels that vanish for the crawler that matters here.

HIGH

Is any passage shaped to be quoted?

Answer engines lift self-contained passages: a direct answer in the opening sentences, a definition that does not depend on the heading above it, a table a parser can read. We score your money pages for extractable blocks and mark the ones that would be paraphrased instead of cited.

MODERATE

Does the entity hold together across sources?

Models describe a company from what they can corroborate. Conflicting NAP data, a missing Organization @id, or a schema block that disagrees with the visible page all push an engine toward a competitor it can describe with more confidence.

Findings land in their own report section, ranked by expected citation impact rather than traffic. Where the fix becomes an ongoing programme it belongs to answer engine optimisation or generative engine optimisation — the audit tells you which of the two you need, and whether you need either yet.

[07//Competitor gap analysis]

Why they outrank you — in five numbers.

You pick the rival — the one whose name keeps appearing above yours on google.ae. We pull their full profile apart next to yours and translate the gap into a work order, not envy.

MetricYour siteTop rival
Domain rating3452
Referring domains118342
Content velocity2 / month11 / month
CWV pass rate38%81%
Schema coverage9%64%

Business tier adds a second rival + SERP-feature overlap by keyword. Enterprise adds the board-ready slide deck.

A gap table is only useful if it converts into a plan, so the walkthrough call spends ten minutes on it. Which of those five gaps is cheapest to close first? Usually schema and CWV — weeks, not quarters. Authority takes longer, which is exactly why the audit ranks it before you have spent a year publishing into the void. Content velocity gets a target number per month, not a vague instruction to “blog more”.

You also see where the rival is weak. In the JLT example above, the competitor’s Arabic coverage was thin and their Google Business Profile had stalled since 2023 — two fronts where our client could lead in a single quarter instead of chasing from behind. Every audit reads the gap in both directions: what they have that you lack, and what you already own that they never bothered to build.

[09//Impact / effort matrix]

Fix the right things first — the sprint planner.

Every fix from the audit gets two coordinates: revenue impact and engineering effort. The top-left quadrant is your next sprint — high impact, low effort. Canonical cleanup earned the gold dot on nearly every Dubai site we audit, because template-level canonical rules are usually one afternoon of work against a five-figure monthly risk.

The matrix is also the meeting. Put it on the screen, agree the sprint, and the forty-issue argument becomes a one-page decision.

Five working days, kickoff to walkthrough.

No six-week waiting lists. The audit runs on a fixed schedule because the data pull is automated and the judgement is ours — and we put both on the calendar the day you commission.

The only thing that can stretch a schedule is late access, which is why the checklist lands within the hour of kickoff. Give us read-only logins on day zero and the report lands on day five, exactly where the walkthrough call is already booked. If your site sits behind an uncommon stack — headless, custom ERP, a WAF that blocks crawlers — tell us at kickoff and we adjust the plan before the clock starts, not after.

[11//After the audit]

Two paths once the report lands.

An audit without a decision is shelf-ware. So the walkthrough call ends with a fork in the road — both fully mapped, both starting the same week.

Neither path is a soft sell for a retainer. Path A genuinely suits teams with strong developers and a little SEO fluency, and we say so on the call. Path B exists because fixing is a different craft from finding: our engineers have shipped these exact fixes on hundreds of Dubai sites, so the CRITICAL row is usually closed inside the first sprint.

Path A — audit only

Your team fixes, we re-check.

Built for teams with developer capacity. You work the backlog in order; every fix you ship gets re-verified against the checklist inside the 30-day support window — free.

A family-run furniture retailer with an Al Quoz showroom and a Shopify store came to us after two agencies and two years of flat traffic. The audit found 214 issues. [14//Questions, answered]

SEO audit services in Dubai: the honest answers.

01What's included in the SEO audit?

You get the full 250-point report (40–60 pages), a prioritised fix backlog in Sheets or Notion, an impact-effort matrix and a 45-minute video walkthrough with the lead consultant. Technical, on-page, content, backlink, UX and local checks are all covered. Every finding carries a severity rating, the URLs affected and the revenue risk we estimate it carries in the Dubai market.

02Do you fix the issues too?

Yes, two ways. Your team can work the backlog and we re-verify each fix free for 30 days. Or you hand implementation to us: the audit fee is credited against your first month of a monthly retainer and our engineers start on the CRITICAL items the same week. Roughly half of our audit clients choose the implementation path.

03What tools do you use?

Our own crawler tuned for google.ae quirks, plus Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, PageSpeed and CrUX field data, Search Console and GA4. We also pull regional SERP samples to see who actually ranks in Dubai versus global averages. You keep every raw export — crawl dumps, backlink indexes, keyword mappings — so your team can re-check our work line by line.

04Will it help with AI Overviews too?

Yes. AI Overviews and answer engines lean on crawlable structure, entity clarity and extractable content, so the audit scores all three. We flag schema gaps, thin or buried answers and the authority signals that decide whether Google's AI Overviews and tools like ChatGPT cite you. You get a dedicated section ranking those fixes by expected citation impact.

05What access do you need?

Read-only access covers 90% of the audit: Google Search Console, GA4, Google Business Profile and, where relevant, view access to your CMS or GTM container. We never need write access to run the audit. If you sit on Shopify, Salla or a custom stack, we send a one-page checklist of exactly what to share after kickoff.

06How is this different from a free scanner?

Free scanners list errors; they can't price them. We crawl the way Google renders your site, then weigh each of the 250 checkpoints against your keywords, competitors and revenue data, so you know which twenty fixes matter this quarter. You also get competitor gap analysis and a senior consultant's judgement — two things no automated report can fake.

07What if we're mid-migration?

Tell us before kickoff and we re-sequence the audit around it. We map old URLs to new, check redirect chains and canonical tags, and flag anything that would break rankings on launch day. Migrations are where most Dubai sites lose their traffic, and an audit first is the cheapest insurance you can buy before the switch.

08How much does an SEO audit in Dubai cost?

Three one-time fees in dirhams, no retainer required: AED 2,999 for sites up to 500 URLs, AED 5,499 up to 5,000 URLs with a two-competitor gap deep-dive and CWV lab, and AED 9,999 up to 50,000 URLs with multi-market hreflang review and a board deck. VAT is excluded. If you later move to a retainer, the audit fee is credited against your first month.

09Do you audit sites outside Dubai, elsewhere in the UAE?

Yes — Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the northern emirates run the same 250 checkpoints, and we also audit Saudi and wider GCC sites. What changes is the SERP sampling: google.ae and google.com.sa return different competitors and different features for the same query, so the gap analysis and keyword mapping are rebuilt per market rather than copied across.

10What is an AI SEO audit, and is it separate?

It is part of the same audit, not an add-on. Four checks decide whether answer engines can cite you: whether GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot are actually allowed in your robots.txt; whether your answers exist in server HTML or only after JavaScript runs; whether any passage is shaped to be quoted; and whether your entity holds together across sources. Sites pass Google and fail these routinely.

11What's the refund policy?

If the audit doesn't surface at least ten concrete, revenue-relevant issues you didn't already know about, we refund the fee in full within 7 days of delivery. In eight years and more than 1,100 audits delivered, we have issued that refund twice. The report is yours to keep either way — no strings, no retainer required.
